View Thread Unfortunately this post is not about greek life and will (hopefully) not contain half naked people from /fit. That being said I would love some serious input from my peers. I am an upperclassman at Cornell and have often been severely disappointed in the quality of education we are receiving. There seems to be a lack of true intellectual curiosity at Cornell from the students, faculty, and even the institution as a whole. This is not to say that Cornell does not have the ability to provide us with a good education, but rather that the university and our peers have been sacrificing fundamental aspects of higher education to satisfy the collective desire for a pre-professional focus. I personally believe that this focus has caused students/faculty/administration to lose sight of why education is important. It is hard for me to imagine that most Cornellians will graduate as more rounded people, as intellectually curious people, having enjoyed their studies, or having used the opportunity we have had to explore new fields of study. This has been the most troubling aspect of my education, and has often caused me to question whether I made the correct choice in schools. I would lFull post not shown.
