Can anyone come up with an argument for the validity of any religion?

I'm not asking for things like "religion can make people feel good, give them hope, etc". I want to know if there is an argument for why it is TRUE.

Hi. I'm a junior currently, but starting to look into colleges. My sister graduated from the Hotel School a few years ago, and I'm really interested in, enough to merit applying there ED. My statistics are definitely qualified (2150+ SAT, 3.95 UW GPA, clear interest in hospitality with work exp.), so I feel like I have a good chance, but feel free to crush me. I have a few questions that would be awesome if they were answered. XD

My question is, how many of you really applied ED to Cornell (preferably Hotel School, but I'd like to hear from all)? Also, if you didn't apply early but are still at Cornell, where did you get into/rejected from (if you feel comfortable, include your relevant HS stats)?

How is the social scene from the Hotel School and Cornell in a broader view?

What are frats like and one participate in a club sport, maintain a decent GPA, and still be in one?
If someone takes the time for this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much.

the thought of starting my essays just makes me feel so sick when I'm in Duffield or the Cocktail Lounge and everyone is working on their physics and chem problem sets. they seem so productive and healthy like debating the answers, you can see how they will become attractive someday (there's always like one girl in each group). I remember in AP classes I was like that but now I just sit and refresh facebook and blogs, feeling worse and worse, paralyzed, thinking "what is wrong with me"

The US will overtake Saudi Arabia as the world's biggest oil producer "by around 2020", an International Energy Agency (IEA) report has said.

The IEA said the reason for this was the big growth and development in the US of extracting oil from shale rock.

This has enabled the US to gain significantly more extractable oil resources.

As a result, the IEA predicts the US will become "all but self-sufficient" in its energy needs by around 2035.

On the one hand, this seems good because we will be more energy independent, and it will be good for the economy.
On the other, this seems to imply cheaper gas prices, and less of an incentive to switch to more efficient and greener alternatives, like electric cars (98% energy efficient, unlike gas engines which are around 20-30%).

Typography/art/hipster fratstars… I know some of you must be in here. What do you think about Ezra Hub's choice of type faces?

I'm pretty sure they are using Cambria http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambria_(typeface) for their thing but I found that Minion Pro http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minion_(typeface) could actually look a lot better. here is a mockup.
